Nepal Annapurna Base Camp
Why go for Nepal Annapurna Base Camp Trek
Together with the Everest Base Camp trek, Nepal Annapurna Base Camp trek is one of the most well-known treks in Nepal. Some of its appeals include the short to medium trekking duration, reasonable altitude and gorgeous close-up mountain views. In addition, the trek is suitable to a wider range of audience as its trek grade is ‘moderate’ while Everest Base Camp is ‘challenging’.
When to go
Like most Nepal treks, the best time to explore Annapurna region will be in the months of October and November. The weather is clear with minimal rain and the temperature is mild and bearable. However, these are also the peak months with the most number of tourists.
More travellers are now opting to go in the winter months of December as there are less crowds. Also, due to the moderate elevation of the mountain passes in this region, there’s not much of a snow issue blocking the paths.
The second most popular period to go for Nepal Annapurna Base Camp trek would be in March and April. Spring flowers and greenery give out a different vibe to trekkers.
